Wettest I have been was Eintracht, biblical rain on the walk to the ground that did not stop in the queue - absolutely soaked from head to foot

Inside looking along the South Bank you could see the steam rise from individual heads

The constant rain just held the noise in, you could lierally feel the noise, it rumbled all night

Greatest football night ever for me that

FC - Crewe was very hot up there with the Preston game. I think that was the game where we went 3-0 up pretty quickly and then ended up hanging on at the end.

Bouncing Ludo,

good shouts for the wettest, I was at both matches and both away terraces were open to the elements, as was Palace away in 1973 in an absolute downpour..

Re: Coldest game attended?
For me, at home to Cambridge in 1979 when we won 3-1 and Bill Remfrey had everyone po-going on the terraces.

That said, Middlesbrough, Blackpool and Ipswich away during our Championship season were bitterly cold, but all three were on the coast or near to estuaries. Newcastle away in January 2011 when we lost 5-0 was also bitter.

Hottest - Preston 2003. That was hot. Was that the match where TB sat there in a short sleeved shirt and got cunted off the whole game, and just sat there grinning?

Re: Coldest game attended?
Oldham was definitely wettest, I think we got soaked at Brighton as well when we went 3-0 down in the first 15 minutes and Liam Brady missed a penalty

Re: Coldest game attended?
Wettest has got to be the St Valentine's Day Massacre at Oldham.

Although, as I cycled from Manchester, my view of the wetness may be slightly exaggerated.

Re: Coldest game attended?
Now if you're talking hottest it has to be Preston away in August 2003. Only time I've ever taken my shirt off at a game. I was standing next to Herts Hammer who did the same thing. What a sight we must have been.

Lee Trundle 2:15 Thu Mar 1
Re: Coldest game attended?
Got to the stadium to find out that the boxing day game against Coventry in 1995 was called off due to a frozen pitch.

That was fucking cold.
